カリフォルニアから現れたVs. Selfは、90年代〜00年代エモバイオレンスの血統を受け継ぎつつ、エモ・ポストロック・マスロックと融合した正に現代版skramzの代表格。チルい演奏と思いきや、その叫びはまさにScreamo。このバランスが良い。

Emerging from California, Vs. Self inherits the lineage of 90s-00s emo violence while fusing it with emo, post-rock, and math rock—truly the quintessential modern skramz. Just when you think it's chill, the screams hit you like pure screamo. This balance is spot-on.
